Mid-January Update

Some recent pictures of our sweetie!! Marco meeting a dog up close for the first time. He loved our friends' chocolate lab, Bailey. Marco with his paper plate snowman and the school bus he helped mamma make out of the diaper box (he loves to go for rides in there and take his Mickey). He loves arts and crafts, coloring, and other activities. He helps with glueing and presses down saying "sticky". He is talking up a storm the moment he wakes up, I think he is making up his own language now and will go on for a while with this talking while he plays. His new favorite word is "Yea" for everything you ask him, hopefully it won't turn into "no". :)He loves to pretend with his Mickey Mouse and Lovey Bunny. He makes them dance, eat his food, and he lays them down, puts a blanket and says "shhh". If they or any of his little people fall he picks them up and rubs their head, it is so cute!! Trains, cars, bus, trucks, and balls are still the best toys in the world. He is really enjoying the giant Mr. Potatoe Head he got for Christmas and identifies all the parts, still working on putting them in the right places, but it makes for some silly ones :) He can say and identify the color blue and shape circle. He can identify red, green and yellow but is not yet saying them. He can say the numbers 2 and 5 when we are counting and the letters "P" and "Z" when we sing the alphabet song (don't know why he chose those) :)He loves music and is always asking to put music on and has his favorites, he now asks or signs the song he wants you to sing or play on the CD player. It is amazing to see all the new things Marco does, says, and understands each day. This is a super fun age!! Oh, he loves to help me empty the dishwasher and takes the plates out and hands them to me and he can put away the spoons and forks now in their right places. He has transitioned to drinking his morning bottle to a straw cup. I finally found one that he likes and is at time drinking more than he was with the bottle. We are working on the before bed one, but I think he likes the bottle at that time, don't blame him :) I was impressed with how quick he transitioned, so I guess he was ready to drink his milk in a different place. He is eating lots of different foods and I am not having to "hide" the veggies and fruits as much. His new favorites are black beans, bananas, apples. His ultimate favorite are ravioli, green beans, peas, cheese, yogurt, and pancakes with peanut butter.

Marco is turning into a little man! What type of new sippy cup did you find? We are still trying to get Jack to drink from something other then a bottle. He hates sippy cups. he wants a 'real' cut but most of it ends up on the floor!

I love the pics!

Ana,
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Marco is getting so big. I can't believe our boys are almost 2! Marco looks like he is doing so well. We don't have anything planned yet for the b-day. What about you?
